My name is Mindy Dow, and as an Eco Life Coach, I guide people back to their balanced inner natures through connection with the outdoor world, helping clients reach their goals and dreams using nature, body, mind, and spirit inspiration as their canvas. A typical life coaching session takes place outdoors, in a beautiful forest, or nature preserve, by a lake, river or the ocean, wherever the client and I choose to meet together. I offer both in-person and virtual mindfulness-based coaching sessions and am willing to travel to where the client is.
While my clients and I are coaching, we are forest bathing, hiking trails or simply walking through a beautiful arboretum. We also could be coaching while paddling a kayak together on a lake or on a river. The environment is a metaphorical backdrop which enhances the client's processing and calms their nervous system. I am a member of the International Coaching Federation and alumna of the Mindfulness Coaching School, Santa Fe, NM.
For over twenty-five years I had a very successful career as an English Teacher and Assistant Professor of Creative Writing and Literature. During my summers I worked as a white water raft guide, canoe/hiking guide, and Park Interpreter for MA State Parks. I felt called to leave higher education and become a Mindfulness Life Coach so I could connect more personally with people in ecologically healthy environments. I honor diversity, equity, inclusion and sustainability practices. I live on the unceded homelands of the Pocumtuc people in Northampton, MA. LGBTQIA+ Loving. WFA certified.
