Event Description:
Join us as we netWORK with Kestrel Land Trust to preserve the natural beauty of our region.
Where: Whately Center Woods . The address is 125 Chestnut Plain Rd, Whately. Here is the google maps location. The gravel parking area accommodates approximately 6 cars.
When: April 29th. Two shifts, 9:00AM-12:00PM and 1:00PM-4:00PM. Rain date set for April 30th.
What: A range of stewardship tasks with varying degrees of physical labor including:
- Pulling invasives
- Corridor clearing (widening the trail by cutting back overgrown vegetation)
- Bog Bridging Installation
- Signage Installation
Who: Up to ten volunteers per shift. Volunteers should feel comfortable walking about a mile on uneven terrain.
What to Bring:
- Please wear long pants, close-toed shoes, and clothes you don't mind dirtying.
- Please bring water and snacks, we will supply refills!
- We will supply all of the tools and protection you will need to safely participate in the work.
