Gregory Stone was a well-known Northampton Renaissance artist pioneer who came to town in the 1970’s. He helped the homeless, he helped the war victims of Nicaragua through the Polus Center for Social and Economic Development, he found beauty in the resilience of the common person.  Many agree that by Stone’s empathetic treatment of subjects—laborers, disabled, or victims of war—he was an artist who sought a vision of a better world. Over forty of his works spanning his career including paintings, drawings, table sculptures, and maquettes from several bronzes & public sculptures are shown in three galleries.
