Event Description:
On Wednesday, April 7, 2021, from 5:00 - 6:00 PM, connect with community and the Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce at the next virtual Arrive@5, Sponsored by Resinate, Inc. The event will feature 40 minutes of networking, plus a 15-minute Community Speaker segment.
In honor of Earth Day (April 22, 2021), Khrysti Smyth Barry of the Center for EcoTechnology (CET) will speak about practical steps you can take to be more sustainable in your operations, and how conservation of energy and waste can help your bottom line. We’ll cover resources and information available from CET’s various programs, some easy tips, and have time for questions about reducing waste and saving energy at your business.
Khrysti Smyth Barry, Center for EcoTechnology
Khrysti Smyth Barry is a Customer Solutions Specialist for the Center for EcoTechnology (CET), which administers a number of waste and energy programs. CET provides outreach, training and technical assistance to businesses, institutions and municipalities across Massachusetts and the U.S. to improve environmental performance. Prior to joining CET in 2018, Khrysti helped support sustainable food systems in the Boston area through work in sustainable food service and event operations, and with her own urban agriculture consulting business. Khrysti has a B.S. and M.S. in Wildlife Ecology from Texas A&M University and Saint Louis University, respectively, and brings her experience with systems operations to her work with CET.
Arrive@5 is a free, virtual networking series featuring breakout rooms for connection, and a Community Speaker segment focused on a topic of interest. Events take place via Zoom. Register for the link to join.
