Deerfield Farm, Inc.
Berries and vegetables. Open June-December, 9-5.
Saturday, 9am-1pm, May to October.
Deerfield Farm is a small, family run farm in the heart of the Connecticut River Valley. Skip & Betsy Sobieski have been running the farm since it was purchased from Skip's stepfather in June of 2003. The farm is located on Routes 5 & 10 in South Deerfield, Massachusetts between Yankee Candle and Historic Deerfield. Our season runs from the beginning of June (when the strawberries start to ripen) until Christmas.
Upon arriving at the farm, you will see a rustic farm stand and a couple acres of land. If you have time, please stay a while and venture over the railroad tracks to view the heart of the farm and check out the beautiful scenery. You can also pick your own strawberries and cut your own fresh flowers in the summer or enjoy a hayride and pick your own pumpkins in the fall. If you are short on time, we invite you to just stop, stretch your legs and enjoy the view.
The majority of our business is done directly with you, the final consumer, through sales at our roadside stand. Therefore, you can see where your food has come from and feel good about what you are eating and serving to your family.
The land that we farm has been permanently protected by the State of Massachusetts through the Agricultural Preservation Restriction program. This not only protects ever decreasing farmland from development, but also gives you and your family a place to enjoy and count on for fresh fruits and vegetables for generations to come.
We look forward to seeing you.
