BUILDING THE WALL by Robert Schenkkan
BUILDING THE WALL is the newest play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award - winning playwright Robert Schenkkan. It’s the very near future, and the Trump administration has carried out his campaign promise to round up and detain millions of immigrants. Now, a writer interviews the supervisor of a private prison as he awaits sentencing for carrying out the federal policy that has escalated into the unimaginable. This riveting, harrowing and illuminating drama delivers a powerful warning and puts a human face on the inhuman, revealing when personal accountability is denied, what seems inconceivable becomes inevitable.
“Terrifingly plausible dystopian fiction. ‘Building the Wall’ imagines the unimaginable. It should be seen!” - LA Times
*Nightly seating for this production is limited. Performance and seating will be on the stage for an intimate experience.

Pedalmotion for Locomotion
“Pedalmotion for Locomotion” is a fun pedal boat racing event scheduled for September, 23rd from 12-5pm at Willow Lake at Look Park. This event raises funds to help support the Park’s 1853 replica Huntington train and the train station area.
Since 1948, the Look Park train has been a well received addition for Park guests of all ages. Annually over 50,000 children and their families enjoy the on mile loop around the Park to delight of all who join us for this special experience. While the curved track was replaced a few years back, much of the straight track is still the original track laid down almost 70 ears ago. Much of the track has worn down and will need to be replaces soon to insure the continued safety of all our guests.
To raise funds, teams of two(2) will depart from the dock at Willow Lake with the hopes of setting the best time of the day in a variety of categories. Teams may choose to take a more leisurely trip if so desired. Each participating team should be finished between 10 and 15 minutes from launch. All participants will receive free entry into the Park on event day, a cookout hosted by Local Burger on event day and a commemorative water bottle.
To participate, sign up at www.runreg.com/pedalmotion. You must be 18 years of age to be a pedaler, but participants of all ages are welcome with a 18+ person in your boat with you.
If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities in support of this event or have any questions, please contact Greg Malynoski, Director of Development at 413-727-8457 or at gmalynoski@lookpark.org
