The Northampton Community Music Center (NCMC) presents a Spring Choral Concert on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 6:30 PM featuring local choirs from NCMC. The concert will be held at Edwards Church at 297 Main Street in downtown Northampton, Massachusetts.

The Spring Choral Concert showcases High Definition directed by Catherine Kay, the Ku’umba Women’s Choir directed by Evelyn Harris, and the Northampton Community Children’s Choir, directed by Agnes Zsigmondi-McCraven. Singers in these groups come from all over the Pioneer Valley and rehearse weekly during the academic year at the music center. Admission is free, though donations are gratefully accepted to support NCMC’s scholarship fund.

Founded in 1986, the Northampton Community Music Center is a not-for-profit arts organization whose mission is to foster the love and pursuit of music within our community through quality education, performances, and events that are accessible to all. The Northampton Community Music Center (NCMC) presents Springfest, an annual celebration of music in downtown Northampton, on Saturday, May 20th 2017, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM. This musical event showcases a wide range of individual students and ensembles from the Northampton Community Music Center, from elementary-school-aged Suzuki cello, violin, and guitar students to the Pioneer Valley New Horizons Band for senior citizens. Performances will begin on the half-hour at several sites along Main Street in downtown Northampton between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. Each performance is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted and benefit NCMC’s scholarship fund.
