Youth Jazz Workshop: “Communication and Creativity through Music”
Jazz drummer and composer Benny Woodard offers a free introductory jazz workshop at the Northampton Community Music Center (NCMC) on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM. The class is for students grades 3 through 8. The event is free and open to participants with at least one year of instrumental music study. Registration is required as space is limited. Call Sam at the Northampton Community Music Center to register. Participants should bring their instruments to the workshop.
Instructors include Benny Woodard, an alum of the Northampton Community Music Center who is currently pursuing his degree in jazz studies at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in New York City, as well as Zack Cross and Noah Harrington of the Benny Woodard Trio.
